| 英文描述 | Septicemia and variable clinical signs have been seen in pigeons infected with STREPTOCOCCUS GALLOLYTICUS. Attack rates in a flock are variable and signs can range from acute to chronic. Birds from 14 days to 12 years of age have been affected, although young birds one to a few month old seem to be at highest risk. Dx by necropsy and culture; the most typical lesion was a single large area of necrosis in the pectoral muscle. Infection with S. GALLOLYTICUS caused increased mortality in 1-3-week-old turkeys, associated with pallor of pectoral muscles and splenomegaly. |
